[UPDATED: August 21, 4:42 pm] The University of the Philippines Los Baños has just announced the suspension of classes from Thursday, August 22 until Friday, August 23 after Laguna Governor ER Ejercito suspended classes at all levels in the province.
Through a text blast, the Office of Student Affairs announced Wednesday afternoon: “As per announcement of provincial government office, classes are suspended from August 22 to 23. Offices are not included.”
Earlier today, various online sources have reported the suspension of classes in the province of Laguna. UPLB Perspective was also able to confirm the announcement from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), meanwhile, has placed Laguna under a yellow rainfall watch, meaning moderate to heavy rains will affect the province. [P]
